Led by world-famous flamenco musician Miguel Espinoza, the Flamenco Guitar Masterclass will teach the history of this classical style and several techniques specific to this enchanting instrument. Flamenco guitar shares roots with classical guitar techniques but has a style completely its own. You’ll learn the different plucking and string techniques employed by the virtuosos, as Miguel brings his signature flair to the class. This masterclass is open to students of all ages and abilities.

Miguel Espinoza has recorded and performed with Bela Fleck, Kai Eckhardt, Kitaro, Tuck and Patti, Rita Moreno and Ben Vareen. His band, Miguel Espinoza Flamenco Fusion, is an award-winning ensemble that blends jazz, Cuban, flamenco, and classical Indian music into an emotionally-mesmerizing sonic experience.
The band will perform a concert Wednesday, July 13 at 7pm at the Dreamland Studio Theatre.
