The NCMC After-School Program is designed to allow all island youth to explore music in a structured and social environment. Participation in the program is free, and instrument subsidies are available. We invite you to learn more below and click the link to get your youth involved!

The After-School Program at a Glance
The After-School Program is held at the Nantucket High School Band Room Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m, and Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each day features social time, musicianship classes, ensemble rehearsals, and instrumental sectionals.
All island youth grades 3-12 are invited to participate!
Participation in the program is free! Instrument subsidies will ensure that all island youth can participate, even if they aren’t part of the program.
The program involves more than 15 professional musicians as instructors, including island musicians, island school music instructors, NCMC instructors, and guest musicians from the Boston Conservatory and the Luzerne Music Center.
