Nantucket Youth Sings! offers an enriching experience for young singers with choral rehearsals over two weekends, including performance workshops, private singing lessons, and a culminating public performance. Participants will enhance their vocal technique, performance skills, and ensemble singing abilities in a fun and supportive environment.

Open to rising seventh graders through high school age singers, this free program will be led by Elissa Edwards, vocal instructor at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, assisted by Joe Hammer, Music Director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Nantucket. Participants will receive individualized training through private singing lessons focused on refining vocal technique and performance skills. Singers will showcase their work in an ensemble performance featuring repertoire from classical, traditional folk, sea shanties, and musical theater genres.

Sponsored by the Nantucket Community Music Center in collaboration with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, all workshop sessions and the concluding performance will take place at St. Paul's.
